The Story
“I’ve sat in the seat you’re in. I know what it feels like when the event doesn’t match the brand promise.”
I spent two decades inside B2B marketing teams before I started Sommers House. I was the CMO who approved the event budget and then watched the production agency build something that had nothing to do with what we stood for. Beautiful, technically. Ours? No.
That gap between a brand’s positioning and the room it actually creates is where I work. Sommers House exists because most event agencies are experts in logistics. Very few are experts in brand. Almost none have held a CMO’s P&L. I have.
I’ve led events for brands at every stage: pre-launch startups proving their thesis to twenty general counsel in a borrowed boardroom, and scaled SaaS companies filling conference centers with five thousand people. The question is always the same: does the room tell the right story?
When the answer is yes, something happens in that room that no campaign can replicate. Pipeline moves. Beliefs change. Categories get defined. That’s what I build.
The Thesis
The traditional agency model is built for execution: you bring the brief, they build the thing. It works when what you need is production. It fails when what you need is strategy.
Sommers House works differently. We embed at the level where strategy gets made, alongside your CMO, your head of demand gen, and your field team, and we build the event program that makes all of your other marketing work harder.
We don’t take every project. We take the ones where we can make a real difference to the number.
